Toddler
Tykes |
|
|
The Toddler Tykes Program is geared toward the early
stages of educational development. Within this program children
will begin to socialize with peers and learn how to take turns
and share. They will begin to lengthen their attention span and
memory along with expanding their creativity as well as their
imagination. They will be challenged physically with fine and
gross motor activities. The children will engage in language
development and early literacy with age appropriate daily
activities and story time.
Daily activities will provide opportunities for each child’s
curiosity to expand enhancing their sensory development by using
our wonderful five senses. Toddlers are always involved in music
and movement within daily circle times. In addition, the
children are introduced to basic academic concepts such as
letters, numbers, shapes, and colors through play and social
interaction.
Center time is the main focus of this program. The children are
given many opportunities to interact with each other in the

Separation Anxiety
|
|
|
|
|
|
Separation Anxiety is a
major component for all toddlers and especially their parents.
For most parents, school is the first time they leave their
child in the care of another person and we want to make this
process as pain free as possible. In order to ease separation
anxiety and to foster positive interacting with children and
teachers, the Toddler Tykes Class will host an “Ease-in-Program”
at the beginning of each school year. The “Ease-in-Program
consists of 2 to 3 consecutive days of increasing hours. During
this time the children get to explore their new learning
environment at a shorter time frame and get acquainted with
their new teachers. |
